Hartford police are apologizing after a photograph circulated on social media showing a Donald Trump sticker on a laptop inside a police cruiser.
The deputy chief released a statement calling the application of the sticker "irresponsible."
The officer who drives the cruiser has not been identified, but the deputy chief said the sticker was clearly visible.
The deputy chief says the officer was counseled on the importance of neutrality and impartiality while working on the force.
The sticker has since been removed, and officials say the matter will be investigated internally.
