A heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. Friday.
Heat index values will be in the 100 to 105 range.
Very hot and humid weather may cause heat-related illnesses on Friday.
Aside from the heat, scattered showers and severe storms arrive after 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The main severe threat will bring damaging winds, alongside heavy downpours.
Saturday will be another hot and humid day, with heat indices near 90.
An approaching cold front will bring rounds of storms on Sunday.
FORECAST:
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, warm and sticky. Lows near 73.
FRIDAY: Hazy, brutal heat and humidity. Heat indices up to 105. Evening severe storms. Highs near 94.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny, still hot, and sticky. Highs near 86.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy, still warm and very humid. Night storms possible. Highs near 81.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs near 88.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny, hotter and humid. Chance of storms. Highs near 90.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny, hot. Highs near 90.
