It's been a wet commute for drivers across southwestern Connecticut Friday as heavy rains began falling overnight.
Many roads in the downtown area of Stamford were closed throughout the morning. Police and public works crews were on hand to get the rising flood waters under control. Several cars were stuck underneath railroad trestles due to the flooding.
Tow truck operators are warning drivers to stay indoors if they don?t have to go out. Meanwhile, Newfield Towing Services say they have already pulled out more than a dozen cars from the waters and they have more to go.
