Hemlock Hardware in Fairfield has been getting shipments of winter supplies all week in anticipation for some wintry weather expected this weekend.
Staff put out shovels and ice melt in front of the store Friday, and says they are expecting more customers later this afternoon.
With ongoing supply chain issues, manager Timothy Beers says fortunately they are not low on supplies. Beers says they started sourcing and ordering early.
With rising costs, Beers says they're trying not to charge customers too much more than what they would've paid last year.
The Department of Public Works in Fairfield says it has been stocking up on salt the past few months, and is ready for whatever Sunday throws at town.
DPW officials say if Fairfield receives more than an inch of snow, crews will begin to plow the roads.
