Silver Sands Beach in Milford was closed to swimmers Tuesday for a familiar reason.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection prohibited swimming after detecting high levels of indicator bacteria.
As News 12 reported, the beach was also closed for several days at the beginning of August due to high bacteria levels.
