Hundreds of students came out to the Lord & Taylor’s parking lot in Stamford to receive their first doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
More than 950 students, faculty and other staff made appointments at the mass vaccination clinic Sunday, many of them from Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon High School.
Many of those getting their first coronavirus vaccine tell News 12 they hope the inoculation is the first step toward normalcy as their school years have been interrupted with online school and hybrid learning.
A pediatrician working on site says getting students vaccinated is a priority for the state.
The Community Health Center is holding another clinic for Danbury High School students later this month.
