Strong winds wreaked havoc Tuesday across southwestern Connecticut. In Norwalk, a homeowner escaped being crushed by a tree on Poplar Street. He says he woke up about 10 minutes before the tree crashed right into his bedroom. A homeowner in Milford was also lucky to escape injury. A tree that was once outside his Milwood Road home fell over due to the strong winds. Henry Shove says he hasn't noticed any damage to his home and his electricity wasn't affected when the tree toppled over.
