A desk and account book once owned by Adolf Hitler are among about 1,100 items up for auction tomorrow and Friday at Alexander Autographs in Stamford.
The desk was used by Hitler to sign the 1938 Munch Pact which was broken one year later, leading to the start of World War II.
"It's a relic, an important historic relic and I think that's what the draw of this piece is," says Bill Panagopulos.
He says the desk is designed to both impress and intimidate and that the desk is expected to sell for more than $500,000.
Also up for auction is a personal account book for Hitler describing his art purchases, payouts to Nazi widows and other expenditures.
