Hostos Community College hosted a concert Thursday to benefit survivors of last month's devastating earthquake in Ecuador.
More than 500 students and community members were expected to attend the show.
The college set a goal of $10,000 for the fundraiser.
The 7.8-magnitude earthquake left hundreds dead.
