It will be a hot and humid Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 80s feeling like the low-90s. We can expect multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms throughout the workweek.

While not a total washout, periods of rain could be heavy at times, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. Tuesday stands out as the most active day, with a heightened risk for severe thunderstorms. These storms could bring damaging winds, frequent lightning and torrential downpours, raising the potential for localized flash flooding.

Dew points will hover in the upper-60s to low-70s, making it feel oppressively humid through much of the week. Highs will generally be in the mid- to upper-80s, but it could feel more like the 90s with the humidity.

The unsettled pattern looks to linger into the weekend, with continued chances for scattered showers and storms. While there will be dry periods, it’s a good idea to keep an umbrella handy if you have outdoor plans.
