  • Gov. Ned Lamont says state is preparing for the COVID-19 surge.
  • Gov. Lamont says southern Connecticut has been a "hot spot" for COVID-19 cases.
  • Gov. Lamont says peak hospitalizations in Fairfield County will come at the end of April, according to models.
  • Gov. Lamont: "We've had some positive indicators in the number of infections over last four or five days. That changed today."
  • "We had 1,000 positives recorded out of 1,715 tests." 
  • Gov. Lamont: "Number of hospitalizations went up 82 to 909."
  • The governor says 19 more COVID-19 deaths. State death toll at 131.
  • "We are going to stretch our use of ventilators as best we can."
  • Gov. Lamont lays out COVID-19 game plan, including strong social distancing policies, partnerships with hospitals and building more hospital capacity to handle the coming surge.
  • He says there should be "no more social travel" and that hotel rooms in the state should be ready for medical personnel.
  • Connecticut-based company Sema4 announced that it will be ramping up testing of potential COVID-19 patients. "That's enormous." 
  • Gov. Lamont: "Over the next week or two, there could be an increased flow of hydroxychloroquine usage in the state."
