Heat and humidity builds Thursday with temperatures in the mid-80s

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Jon Cubit says to expect warmer temperatures today and increasingly through the rest of the week.

NOW AND NEW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says overnight will be partly cloudy and mild with a low in the lower-60s. Thursday will be sunny and warmer and a tad more humid with highs in the mid-80s.
NEXT: The heat and humidity will increase Thursday but more so on Friday. Saturday looks mostly cloudy and humid with scattered downpours and thunderstorms possible. The front slowly clears the area on Sunday although a few leftover showers cannot be ruled out, especially during the morning. And Fourth of July Monday looks mostly sunny and dry as of right now.
OVERNIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild.  Low of 63.
THURSDAY: Sunny and warm. High of 85.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, hot and humid. High of 89.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy and humid with scattered downpours and storms. High of 83.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny with a few morning showers possible. High of 84.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. High of 81.
