Hundreds of people came to Stamford to support the local chapter of a national organization.
The Connecticut Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society hosted its 37th annual Dinner of Champions at The Loading Dock Thursday night.
This year's honoree was the CEO of Stamford-based Synchrony Financial, Margaret Keane.
Keane received the society's "Hope Award" for her humanitarian efforts and leadership.
Organizers say the goal of their fundraising is to one day find a cure.
