Tenants at one Hunts Point housing complex say they are fed up with looking at scaffolding that has covered their building for more than seven years.

The NYC Housing Authority says the scaffold sheds are necessary when the façade conditions present a danger or when there is construction. 

However, residents of 875 Irvine St. say they haven't seen any work done to the outside of the building.

Residents say the scaffold makes it dark during the day and it gets worse at night. They feel it is a haven for criminal activity. Residents also say the broken sidewalk under the scaffold poses a danger to kids and the elderly.
