Hurricane Harvey is leaving a major impact on gas prices in Connecticut, as well as across the U.S.
In just a week, the average price of gas increased by 26-cents per gallon in parts of the state.
According to Gasbuddy.com, the price of gas in parts of Fairfield is around $2.87.
As for good news, port operations across the Gulf Coast oil and gas hub are resuming, which should knock down prices later in the week.
