Intense heat sticks around Thursday with chance of thunderstorms possible
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says Thursday will be hazy, hot and humid with high temps around 91 degrees and the heat index in the mid- and upper-90s. An isolated thunderstorm is possible later in the day and into the evening.

26ds agoNOW & NEW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says overnight will be fair and very muggy with lows in the 70s. Thursday will be hazy, hot and humid with high temps around 91 degrees and the heat index in the mid- and upper-90s. An isolated thunderstorm is possible later in the day and into the evening.
NEXT: It will stay hazy and humid Friday, although there could be scattered showers or thunderstorms Friday afternoon. There is a much better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday and probably into Monday as well, although none of the days look like washouts.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear, muggy. Low of 73.
THURSDAY: Hazy, hot and humid. Slight chance of a late-day storm. High of 91. Heat index in the mid- and upper 90s.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy and humid with a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms. High of 86.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High of 81.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High of 80.
