A months-long investigation into a network of unlicensed spas operating as houses of prostitution has ended with the arrest of an Ocean county woman and the seized significant financial assets.

Kelly Jahnke-Gonzalez, 44, of Jackson, was apprehended without incident at her home on Tuesday. The arrest followed a massive, coordinated raid by local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies spanning Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.

The probe began in October 2025 when the Sayreville police department initiated an investigation into Jahnke-Gonzalez and several businesses operating under her name. Investigators determined that Jahnke-Gonzalez allegedly managed numerous illicit, unlicensed spa locations used for prostitution activities across central Jersey and the Jersey Shore.

Following months of surveillance, undercover operations, and detailed financial analysis, detectives submitted an affidavit of probable cause to the Middlesex County Superior Court to secure search warrants. On May 12, armed tactical teams and investigators moved in simultaneously on multiple storefronts, corporate offices, and Jahnke-Gonzalez’s private residence.

A search of the properties resulted in the seizure of more than $100,000 in hidden cash. Beyond the currency recovered on-site, authorities successfully froze several linked bank accounts and recovered extensive digital and physical evidence supporting the prostitution ring allegations.

Jahnke-Gonzalez faces a list of criminal charges following the raids. Prosecutors have charged her with four counts of promoting prostitution, money laundering, misconduct by a corporate official, and maintaining a nuisance. Following her arrest and processing at police headquarters, she was released pending future appearances in Middlesex County Superior Court.

Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains highly active and ongoing. As detectives continue to sift through the seized financial documents and business records, additional arrests and charges are anticipated.
