A judge has issued a stay for the suspension of attorney Norm Pattis's law license.
Pattis had his license suspended for six months for improperly distributing medical records of the families of Sandy Hook victims as part of the Alex Jones conspiracy lawsuit.
The appeals ruling means Pattis can continue practicing while the appeals process plays out.
Pattis has argued that the incident was the result of a mistake and that the files he transmitted to three other lawyers for Jones were destroyed before they were read or further distributed.
The full appeals process could take years to resolve.
