A judge on Thursday declared a second mistrial in the case of a Bridgeport man who police say murdered and dismembered his ex-girlfriend.

Jermaine Richards is charged with killing 20-year-old Alyssiah Wiley, an Eastern Connecticut State University student, in 2013. Police said they found parts of Wiley's body in the woods in Trumbull about a month after she disappeared.

Wiley's mother, Corinna Martin, says that it has not been easy waiting for answers in the case. Although in pain, she says she's not angry at anyone for Richards' second mistrial.

The assistant state attorney said that the case will return to the trial list, and a third trial for Richards will be set soon.
