Stamford police say they arrested a minor after he was seen with a loaded gun.

Detectives say they found him carrying a Springfield Armory XD-40 semi-automatic handgun equipped with a high-capacity magazine containing 11 rounds, as well as a laser sighting device.

The juvenile was remanded to the Juvenile Detention Center and was in court Monday to face possession of a pistol without a permit, illegal transfer of a firearm and illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine charges.

It was not immediately clear when he would be back in court.
