K-9 ambulance transport bill heads to House after committee approval
A bill that allows K-9s injured on the job to be transported by ambulance to veterinary hospitals has unanimously passed the Public Health Committee Friday.
The bill will now head to the Connecticut House of Representatives, state Rep. Brenda Kupchick tells News 12.
Both Kupchick and state Sen. Tony Hwang co-sponsored the bill allowing paramedics to treat K-9s injured in the line of duty on scene and also transport them in an ambulance to a veterinary hospital.
