Elementary school students in Wilton said goodbye to their parents and the summer Monday as they headed back to class.
About 1,000 students at Tilford Miller Elementary School were greeted by their teachers and school principal. It was the first day for kindergarteners through second-graders; pre-school students will return later this week.
School leaders say while the first day of school does take some adjusting, teachers will waste no time getting students in an academic routine.
The school principal adds it is important that both students and parents adjust and maintain a night and morning routine.
