Students and faculty at a Stamford middle school are using a different method to support a young girl battling brain cancer.
Cloonan Middle School students say classmate Martha Rosa loved to play dodgeball before her cancer diagnosis, which inspired a tournament to help raise money for the seventh-grader.
Thanks to the school, Martha and her family left the game with an $800,000 check for her medical bills.
"It makes me feel special," Martha says.
