Lamont says not to be alarmed by increase in COVID-19 cases

Lamont said although the state has been trending up, Connecticut is in a much better place now than it was at the height of the pandemic in the spring.

BRIEFING UPDATES:
-13,398 tests were administered and 320 came back positive (2.4% positivity rate, highest since June)
-172 patients are hospitalized (increase of 17)
-There has been 1 COVID-related death
-Connecticut adds Michigan, Ohio and Virginia to travel advisory list. No states were removed from the list.
-About 2% of hospital beds are occupied by CPVOD-19 patients.
