May 17, 2022, 11:48pmUpdated on May 18, 2022
By: News 12 Staff
Gov. Ned Lamont signed a bill aimed at cracking down on the sales of stolen catalytic converters.
Starting July 1, it will be illegal for recyclers to receive a catalytic converter unless it's physically attached to the vehicle.
Recyclers will need a stock number, written record of the transaction and the VIN number in order to accept it.
