The last day of classes for New York City Public Schools was held Tuesday.
Nearly one million public school students across the city celebrated the last day of school.
Both parents and students across the city said they are excited for the summer vacation.
"We are going to have a nice vacation. But they're still going to be learning. Just because [there's] no school, does not mean that learning stops," says Wanda Richardson, a parent at P.S. 108.
Schools around the city had a half day of school with classes ending around 11:30 a.m.
