Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff introduced legislation Tuesday that would allow electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to sell cars directly to consumers.
Duff appeared at a news conference with Tesla representatives in Hartford to discuss his bill.
Last year, the Connecticut Senate failed to take up a bill that would have allowed Tesla to open three retail stores.
Tesla is currently only allowed to operate service centers and has one in Milford.
