Dozens of lawmakers are expected at the state Capitol Wednesday to weigh-in on the future of electric vehicles.
Lawmakers are considering an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Coordinating Council, a 40-member group that would look at whether Connecticut is ready to transition to all electric or plug-in hybrid sales by 2035. If approved, the panel would examine how much electric vehicles cost and whether more incentives would help. They would also look at how many more chargers Connecticut needs and what upgrades are needed to the state's power grid.
