A man who claims he was sexually assaulted by a nursing assistant is suing St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport for $25 million in damages.
Gonzalo Flores currently is behind bars charged with abusing multiple patients at the hospital.
Attorney Antonio Ponvert says the hospital allowed Flores to continue working after sexual assault claims were made against him.
Ponvert says his client is still traumatized by the abuse.
The lawsuit alleges that the hospital knew Flores was a "sick and dangerous serial sexual predator who assaulted, abused, molested and raped helpless hospital patients".
The hospital fired Flores last summer.
Flores has pleaded not guilty in three criminal sexual assault cases.
