America's oldest living man was honored this week in Union County, where his age was officially recognized during a ceremony in Linden.
Luis Cano is 111 years old and has lived in Linden for more than 20 years.
He was born in Columbia in 1914.
The mayor of Linden presented Cano with a resolution after his age was officially validated.
Cano has lived through more than a century of history and has 10 children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He said he still enjoys gardening, fishing and bowling.
