The rankings are out for the top public elementary schools in Connecticut, and most of Fairfield County controlled the top of the list.

According to Niche.com, 12 of the state's top 15 elementary schools are located in Fairfield County.

Some schools listed included three in New Canaan and five in Westport.

Niche, a website for researching schools, used a variety of factors, including SAT and ACT scores, student-teacher ratio and school district performance.
