Litchfield County is preparing for a winter storm set to hit
the region Monday night into Tuesday.
Goff’s Equipment Services says it usually has around 30 generators in stock,
but as of 1 p.m. it was down to just three.
Justin Putnam, who works at the store, says there’s a big rush to get equipment
fix and the pandemic has affected the production and amount they are able to
get.
“The supply chain has slowed down greatly,” Putnam says. “We, as the sell end
up the problem.”
The store is also sold out of ice crushers that help remove ice.
They are expected to get snow blowers in Monday night, but they might not be
useful for the storm that is expected to bring ice to the area.
