Connecticut residents are gearing up for the
impending nor'easter by stocking up on snow melt, shovels and other cold weather supplies.
Workers at Hemlock Hardware say they expect to double their winter business Friday but say proactive ordering has kept them ahead of any supply chain issues.
Mike Anzy of Anzy's Lawn Mower Service says minor routine maintenance can avoid any problems with snow blowers ahead of winter storms.
"If you leave gasoline with the ethanol, it does wreck the engine. So you do need to put an inhibitor in it and run it dry, that's the first thing to do. And then check the oil," said Anzy. "You don't really have to change the oil but check the oil, make sure there's enough in there so when you start up. And use 93 octane gas - very important."
Anzy's Lawn Mower Services has been in business since 1927.
