Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz was in
Bridgeport Wednesday to spotlight women-owned manufacturing businesses.
Bysiewicz visited Amodex Products,
a stain and ink remover manufacturing company on State Street.
Bysiewicz toured the facility and
also took part in a discussion about women in manufacturing to show students,
parents and the public what modern manufacturing entails.
"I'd like to
see more women get involved in manufacturing because manufacturing is a STEM field,
STEM jobs are very good-paying jobs, they're very high-paying jobs," said Bysiewicz.
The goal is to get more women
involved in STEM fields.
