At Fresh Start, a workshop in Hartford, the mission is clear — building furniture while rebuilding lives.

Volunteer Phil Rockwell says Fresh Start helps those who have had different challenges in their life. He says some of the people at Fresh Start have been formerly incarcerated, some have been homeless, some have come out of addiction programs, and some are immigrants.
