In this week's Main Street Connecticut, News 12's Mark Sudol visits Insomnia Cookies at 1 Atlantic Ave. in Stamford. Insomnia Cookies was founded more than 20 years ago by a University of Pennsylvania student. With over 300 locations nationwide, the bakery specializes in warm, gooey cookies offered until 1 a.m. In celebration of the bakery's opening Saturday, the shop is giving away one free cookie for anyone who signs up for Insomnia Rewards.

The all-day grand opening event and a late-night celebration will feature freebies and treats.
