We made it to Friday, everybody, and it's time for Main Street, Connecticut, a chance to showcase our local towns and cities and all the things they have to offer. And today we are in Bridgeport. News 12, Connecticut's Mark Sudall is at Total Mortgage Arena for professional bull riders. That sounds exciting, Mark. Oh, it is exciting. If you've never seen it. It is just wild stuff. And just to let you know here upfront, there are no bulls here. They're out, uh, grazing along I-95, and I will not be getting on a bull either. Thank goodness. I want to introduce you to 22-year-old Court. McFadden, who is one of the professional writers here, one of 40 best in the world that are going to be here this weekend, tonight and tomorrow night. Thank you for joining us this morning. And how long you've been doing this? Uh, this is my 4th year professionally, so, uh, a long time. He hails from West Texas and uh I guess you've probably broken a few bones along the way here. Yes, yes, broken a few bones, but nothing to worry about. No big deal, no big deal, unfazed by all this. So, so now why do you do this? What got you into all this? So my father did it. Um, that's kind of how I got into it, but um. I do it because I love it. I think if you don't love it, you, you wouldn't do it. That's right. That's right. Uh, so I mean, what is the deal? You, you basically, you're competing to see who can stay on the longest. Is that how it goes? No. So we, we ride 8 seconds, um, and after if you ride your bull for 8 seconds, you get a score. Uh, you get, you get scored up to 50 points and your bull gets scored up to 50. Points and uh you know a a decent average ride would be 87 and a good one would be in the 90s somewhere along there. Wow. So what, what's your best one been? uh I was 90.6 or something like that. That's my highest, highest marked ride. So tell us about the competition. Gonna be fierce competition this weekend. Oh yeah, this is the best of the best, um, this, the best bull riders will be here. And the best bulls in the world. So, now, I'm, I'm curious, uh, as, as I'm getting, uh, approaching 60 here, what's your, what's your best advice for pain relief? Uh, Advil. And I imagine this place is going to be packed. Like I said, we don't normally see this kind of thing here in the Northeast. I mean, I've watched it on television. It is a wild ride, no pun intended. Oh yeah, no, this thing will be packed out full, loud. It's like if I could explain it, it'd be like a rock concert with bull riding in it. That's a great, a great way to describe it. That's the best way to put it. There's fire and pyro and all the, all the good stuff. Wow. Oh yeah, Court, thank you so much for the time. Best of luck this weekend.
