All right, here we are. It's Friday. Time for Main Street, Connecticut, a chance to showcase our local towns and cities and all the things they have to offer today we're in Fairfield. News tells Mark Sodall is kicking the morning off at the antry Mark. Good morning, Becky. The pantry has become an institution here in Fairfield, and joining us this morning is Paul Zawadsky from the Pantry. Thank you so much for being with us this morning. So tell us, what makes your place so special? Well, really makes the place so special is really the staff and the customers. Some of the employees, we have over 60 of them here at the store have been here since the beginning, and then they work hard, they work great, and then the customers that come in make the day special all the time so we can't say enough about the customers. They're here. We prepare all the food fresh every day and it's a great community and we're happy to be able to help. And you have a beautiful display case here of all the baked goods. Tell us about some of these. Well, the employees get here at 2 o'clock in the morning and they fill the cases every day, and we're showing right now some of our breakfast croissants and Danish. We also prepare everything from scratch. All the cookies are made from scratch, all the baked goods, cakes, pies, all made from scratch. And I suppose now of course January is kind of a slow time, but you got, you know, Super Bowl, Valentine's Day coming up. I'm sure it's going to get busy again, you know, it's always busy here. We're very fortunate coming up for those holidays we'll be making some special items, special appetizers and stuff like that. So it should be a really great time. So please come down and take. Try some of the stuff you'll really enjoy it. Well, I got to try some of this stuff pardon me for cutting in front of you there, Paul, but I did want to try this cheese Danish, which looks amazing. Oh, Soft in the middle and crispy on the outside, you nailed it. Come on down to the pantry, check it out. Uh, we got more for you on Main Street coming up in our next hour, Becky.

All right, we made it to Friday. It's time for Main Street, Connecticut, a chance to showcase our local towns and cities and all they have to offer today we're in Fairfield and News 12 Connecticut's Mark Sudall is at the Fairfield Theater Company to tell us what's going on there, Mark. Good morning, Becky. Yeah, the Fairfield Theater Company has so much to offer if you've never been here today. Really a great little hidden gem here in town. Megan Quinn from the theater company is here this morning. Thank you for being with us. Tell us about this campus and all that's going on here. Great, thank you. Um, yes, so we're standing in the warehouse. This is Fairfield Theater Company's, uh, 640 seat flexible theater. It was built in 2015. Um, also on the campus, we have our 225 seat stage one black box theater. That was the original theater that was built here and we have an outdoor stage as well that was just completed last summer. Um, and 2025 is a big year for us. FTC was founded in September of 2000, so 25 years we've been going. And we hope to be here for 125 more or longer and uh yeah, so come on down and check it out. Now you've got a t-shirt here. You're looking for members, is that right? show us that t-shirt. FTC is an amazing music venue and that's what most people know about us. We're also a nonprofit that's probably not as well known. We really rely on membership and donations to sustain our programming and if you become a member now, we have our every household a member uh push, um, we have some interesting swag you can get an original t-shirt. uh, this is an original design that was specifically designed for this campaign. You also get discounts on tickets, advanced notice of events. We're gonna have some great member only parties this year, some whiskey tasting, some concerts just for members. So it's a great time to become a member, and we really need you. And you got some shows coming up here too. How about this? So 90s, everyone loves the 90s right now. We're having a huge dance party. It's sold out last year. We had 640 people dancing in this room. And we're gonna do it again this year. So we have DJ Echo coming, um, and they're going to be playing the best of the 90s dance, pop. You can put in your requests, dress up, people dress up. It's super fun night and it's a fundraiser for FTC. It's January 24th. Wow. And I know there's a Rick, Rick Springfield thing coming up. That's right. That's right. We're gonna, she's gonna help me out with that one, I think. Uh, Becky, just good stuff here. Come on down and check out the Fairfield Theater Company.
