A Watertown man is facing charges after police say he was weaving through traffic on a motorcycle and using the shoulder on Route 8 in Watertown.

Police said 52-year-old Allan Vega was spotted speeding on Aug. 26.

Authorities said Vega drove past a state trooper at a high rate of speed.

Police questioned Vega about the incident.

According to police, Vega told officers he was running late for work.

Vega was arrested and charged with several offenses, including reckless driving.
