A Bridgeport business owner says a man attempted to rob his store at knifepoint Friday night.
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. at the Pembroke Variety store on Pembroke Street.
The owner says a man came into his store and held a knife to his chest as he demanded cash.
The owner says he pulled out his gun and started running after the suspect. The owner tells News 12 that he fell down and that's when he says his gun went off. The owner's wife translated for him.
