A man charged with murder dating back to 2019 was convicted on Friday.
Fairfield District Attorney Joseph Corrandino announced a jury found 27-year-old Luiz Roman guilty in the murder of Miguel Afzal.
Afzal first
disappeared in November of 2019 but was later found with a fatal gunshot wound, which an autopsy later determined was a homicide.
The suspect was later
arrested in 2021 and currently faces up to 60 years in prison. His sentencing is set for January of next year.
