55-year-old man dies in Bridgeport shooting

A 55-year-old man is dead after being shot in Bridgeport on Saturday evening, according to the Bridgeport Police Department.
The shooting occurred in the area of lower East Main Street near the I-95 South ramp at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Raul A. Torres-Santiago, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was driven to Bridgeport Hospital by a private vehicle.
He underwent emergency surgery shortly after arriving and ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
