Laurence Caso, the longtime executive director of the historic Klein Memorial Auditorium, officially retired today after 18 years serving one of Connecticut's most prominent cultural landmarks -- the Klein Memorial Auditorium.
Before stepping into his leadership role at the Klein, Caso enjoyed a distinguished career in television.
He previously served as the executive producer of the CBS daytime drama "As the World Turns" and helped develop iconic network television shows, including "Dallas" and "WKRP in Cincinnati."
Caso successfully transitioned his deep passion for the entertainment industry into community-focused arts leadership in Bridgeport.
"I'm so grateful for the opportunity that I've had, and the welcoming I've had from so many people in Bridgeport," Caso said.
"Concerts, plays, arts education, we've done it all — and it's going to continue to grow and I'm very pleased about that."
As he steps down, Caso is handing over leadership of the venue to Tenisi Davis, who will serve as the executive director moving forward.
