Man fatally shot in the head in Williamsbridge; suspect still on the run

A 22-year-old man is dead after he was shot outside a deli in Williamsbridge.
Police say Ricardo Bygrave was shot in the head just before 9:30 p.m. on Bronxwood Avenue and E 217th Street. Officers got to the scene and found him with a gunshot wound in his head. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he later died.
The area was taped off overnight as investigators searched for clues.
Sources close to the investigation say Bygrave was fighting with the suspect before the shooting, but it’s unclear what led up to the confrontation or if the two knew each other.
Police are looking for a man wearing a black jacket and black pants. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
