A man was found dead on his 26th birthday in a Stamford backyard Wednesday in an apparent homicide.
Police are still investigating the nature of Jonathon Green?s death. Authorities say Green?s body was found by his cousin at 8:30 a.m. Police say he was shot overnight but do not know the exact time.
Green?s family and police officials are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
"Most of the time when a person is killed we know about it, we usually know about it before someone just happens upon a body like this,? says Sean Cooney, of the Stamford P.D.
Authorities say he had two children and was a college student. Stamford police say an autopsy will be performed on Thursday.
