Man identified in fatal I-95 dump truck crash
A man killed in a dump truck crash on I-95 in Milford has been identified, police say.
Anthony Edward Drozd, 63, of Middletown, died after the dump truck he was driving crashed into an overpass on I-95 in Milford on Thursday.
State police say the bed of the dump truck Drozd was driving was in the upright position before it struck a sign on the overpass and crashed.
They say Drozd was ejected from the truck before being transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he later died.
A second driver, Susan Jackson, 68, of Greenwich, was also involved in the incident, but suffered only minor injuries.
The crash closed the northbound lanes of the highway down for seven hours as officials investigated.
