The Stamford man accused of jumping over the White House fence on Thanksgiving Day was released from custody Monday and ordered to live with his mother until the case is resolved.
Joseph Caputo, 22, was arrested Thursday for allegedly scaling the fence while draped in an American flag.
A judge ordered Caputo to be electronically monitored while staying with his mother. Caputo must also observe an 8 p.m. curfew.
Officials say Caputo pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful entry during his court appearance Monday.
