A swimmer is at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a near-drowning in Shelton.

Emergency crews responded to Indian Well State Park just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Witnesses performed CPR on the man before EMS took him to the hospital.

The area in which he was swimming is off-limits to people, and police say the 35-year-old has been ticketed for swimming in a prohibited area.
