Ryan Kocsis’ driveway was one of the many major essentials Sunday’s flooding swept away.

“It sounded like thunder,” describes Kocsis, "when the water went over the road and over the driveway. It quickly within a couple minutes, quickly took out the pipes and our driveways."

Kocsis didn’t have flood insurance because his home isn’t in a flood zone. Now, he’s leaning on the town for answers on whether he will receive some financial support to repair his driveway.

The town told News 12 Connecticut, there are multiple people who are still stranded. They are trying to get to everyone as fast as they can.

There will be a meeting at Town Hall Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.

The town is encouraging anyone with concerns, or who can volunteer their time to attend.
