Norwalk police say a man who disappeared in the Norwalk River after a fight with two other men is alive.
Police had been looking for the missing man since the fight occurred over a week and a half ago.
Authorities say the Norwalk man in his 20s was found in the city on Sunday, but they are not releasing where he was found. They believe he was trying to avoid them and that is why it took so long to find him.
The fight happened early in the morning on Sept. 16 near El Mexicano Restaurant on Wall Street. They say the three men ended up in the river, but only two of them came out while the third was never found.
Police say they are not releasing any other information and consider this case closed.
They do not expect to file any charges.
